Understanding The TOFFEE Project - Ecosystem and the Big-picture:
Before you explore the same, here is the ecosystem of the overall The TOFFEE Project. The main objective is to achieve network optimization by various means in various situations (real-world use-cases), however, unlike other open-source projects, The TOFFEE Project is not just one project/source-code. It has a broad vision and a long term focus. It is the entire ecosystem comprising various components like research, required tools (some are self-made like TOFFEE-Mocha), study/education, and so on. On top of this robust platform, the end individual components are made such as: TOFFEE, TOFFEE-DataCenter and so on. The word The TOFFEE Project literally refers to this vision, ecosystem and the big-picture.

Introducing TOFFEE-Fudge - Network Packet Generator ↗
Saturday' 13-Mar-2021
TOFFEE Fudge is a simple intuitive Network Packet Generator which can be used to create custom test synthetic Network Packets and can be used in various applications such as networking research, network infrastructure troubleshooting, ethical hacking, as a network software development tool and so on.

My Lab Battery Purchase and Service logs for Research ↗
Saturday' 13-Mar-2021
Here is a complete log of my lab battery purchase, service record which I maintain in Google drive. These I use for my home (or my family generic use) as well as a part of my home lab. I maintain a detailed log this way to monitor the failure rate of these batteries. This will allow me to select a specific brand/model which has higher success rate and to monitor any premature failure/expiry. The service log helps me to monitor and schedule the next service routine so that I can maintain these batteries in tip-top condition.

Communication data network standards and data transfer speeds :: Chart ↗
Saturday' 13-Mar-2021
Here is a complete chart comprising popular communication data network standards and their respective transfer rates. I hope this reference chart will help network engineers and network software developers while performing networking tests and experiments, building WAN/network products, building WAN simulated networks of a specific standard and so on. This may also helps us to track technological advancements of communication data networks.

First TOFFEE-Mocha Code Release ↗
Saturday' 13-Mar-2021
TOFFEE-Mocha is my dream project which I thought working on it since several years. I want to make a WAN emulation software which is straight forward and simple to use. I used tc scripts along with iptables for testing my TOFFEE (and TrafficSqueezer before TOFFEE) and I am not quite satisfied with the same. As one can understand these scripts are not meant for WAN emulation.

TOFFEE-Mocha WAN Emulation software development - Update: 18-June-2016 ↗
Saturday' 13-Mar-2021
In the previous update (17-Jun-2016) I discussed about the upcoming new Random Packet drop feature along with other completed features. Now I completed the entire TOFFEE-Mocha Random packet drop feature. I completed all the kernel components and the UI support of the same. And to make GUI settings more organized I split the earlier Basic-Settings page into two separate pages namely: Packet Drop and Packet Delay. So this way it is simple to understand settings according to their functionality.

Introducing TrueBench - a high resolution CPU benchmarking system ↗
Saturday' 13-Mar-2021
TrueBench is an unique open-source benchmarking system in which the core system performance and efficiency parameters are measured at extreme high resolution in the order of several million/billion µ-seconds for a given specific task. TrueBench is a part of The TOFFEE Project research. With TrueBench Raspberry Pi 3, Raspberry Pi 2B, Raspberry Pi 2 and other embedded SoC devices are benchmarked and you can do a comparative analysis with standard mainstream x86 devices.

Introducing TOFFEE-Butterscotch - Save and Optimize your Internet/WAN bandwidth ↗
Saturday' 13-Mar-2021
TOFFEE-Butterscotch yet another variant of TOFFEE can be used to save and optimize your Home/SOHO Internet/WAN bandwidth. Unlike TOFFEE (and TOFFEE-DataCenter) TOFFEE-Butterscotch is a non peer-to-peer (and asymmetric) network optimization solution. This makes TOFFEE-Butterscotch an ideal tool for all Home and SOHO users.

TOFFEE-Mocha WAN Emulation software development - Update: 16-June-2016 ↗
Saturday' 13-Mar-2021
I started TOFFEE-Mocha WAN Emulation software development on 1-June-2016. I took the existing TOFFEE components as a base. Although the TOFFEE-Mocha is entirely an independent fresh Open-Source WAN Emulation solution. Ever since I am in the process of defining and inventing features. So far I come up with the most important feature which is expected to be present in any WAN Emulation software is the packet delay option.
